Maria is a Senior Consultant at Political Intelligence Brussels, advising clients on EU policy and regulatory developments in the fields of digital and e-commerce. Her expertise spans digital policy, consumer protection and sustainability, within the ever-expanding set of policy areas linked to the digital economy. At Political Intelligence, she has gained experience advising corporate clients and coalitions, as well as supporting pro-bono campaigns such as raising awareness about breast cancer.
Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in law and an LLM in EU Law. Before joining the PI team, she worked as a legal adviser at the Ministry of Justice of Portugal during the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU, and was a Schuman Trainee in the European Parliament’s Legislative Affairs Unit (DG IPOL).
A native Portuguese speaker, Maria is fluent in English and is working to improve her French.
