Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree in International and European Studies from University of Piraeus and a Master’s degree in European Studies from KU Leuven, with specialisation in EU governance, economics and external relations. Before joining the Communications Team of Political Intelligence, Maria worked as a Trainee at the Council of the European Union, in the Directorate General for External Relations (DG RELEX), specifically dealing with EU enlargement in the Western Balkans, and as an EU Policy, Communications and Events Assistant at the European Association of Research and Technology Organisations, where she gained experience on EU public affairs and communications. A native Greek speaker, she is also fluent in English and French and has good command of Spanish.
