Maria graduated in Law from Catholica University in Lisbon and holds a Master’s degree in European Law, with a specialization in Criminal Law and Human Rights from Utrecht University. Before joining PI, she worked at the Ministry of Justice of Portugal during the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU and in the European Parliament, in the Legislative Affairs Unit. A native Portuguese speaker, Maria also speaks English and is working to improve her French.
